Makodah Care was founded in October 2025 with a clear purpose — to provide genuine, person-centred support that values individuality, integrity, and connection. Based in the Hunter Valley, we are a family led support provider shaped by lived experience of disability and a deep understanding of what quality care truly means.

Our story began long before Makodah Care officially opened its doors. As a family, we’ve walked the path that many of our participants and their loved ones travel, navigating the complex NDIS system, searching for reliable supports, and learning what true compassion in care really looks like. Those experiences inspired us to build something different: a service led by people who truly understand what it’s like to be on the other side of support.

We believe that great support starts with empathy, understanding, and trust. Our lived experience gives us a perspective that can’t be taught — it’s felt. We know the challenges, the triumphs, and the small daily moments that make a big difference.
